Dragonscale Dreamlight

The dragon in blood, the tiger in name,
A living dream, wild, untame,
Of eye and scale made of blue flame,
Clawing her way to victory, to fame,
To her teeth, to her talon, death's a game,
A roar to shake the air, make listeners feel lame,
To fly in the light is a seeker of a fight,
To terror in the night, make fleeing seem right,
Escape from those claws would be tight,
Due to her beastly, other worldly might,
The full eclipse is dawn,
Moon bathed in blood of what's gone,
The lights are flickering, time is fleeing!
Though in my dreams the dragon I keep seeing
In my spirit winged I keep being,
And the hope in my heart keeps pleaing,
And that dragon, those wings, in the darkness of memory I try and tuck,
But they return, so in bed I lay,
And in my mind the dragon taunts and plays.
