Halloween Moon

Under the Halloween Moon,
The sewer rats squeak and hiss,
Growing bigger and meaner
Under the exposure
Of the orange, glowing moon.

Under the Halloween Moon,
The blood wolves howl,
The blood wolves prowl,
And hunt for human flesh,
For the undying hunger
Caused by the orange, glowing moon.

Under the Halloween Moon,
Kids run amok collecting candy,
Unaware of hungry, lurking beasts about,
The size of them, but green and gooey,
With crooked, pink teeth and fowl breath,
Only to fade into mud
At the disappearance of
The orange, glowing moon.

Night becomes day.
And the Halloween Moon fades away.
And the creatures scatter and run,
This year's Halloween is done.
