Moonlight

As I lie in bed
A million colors fill my head
A book open before me
A thousand visions that I see

A world of adventure
A jungle of nature
A new world, it seems
Oh, the freedom of dreams

A new challenge 'round every corner
A sky bigger than the former

Mythical creatures, wild and free,
Wonders no one else had ever seen

A world of wonder awaits
Past a million gates
That only the dream key can unlock

The world the mind can create
Like a buffet on a plate
Each food filled with adventure for you

Awe is not the right word
For the magic I see, the sounds that I heard
From the world before me

But by moonlight's end, we must return
To our own land of grass and fern
With a mind open to learn
What lies ahead
But by the end of the day
You will return to the world in your bed.

The New Year

Will There Be a Light?
